This route crosses a classified natural setting: the national nature reserve. It is ideal for those who love outdoor sports activities and adventure, rather suitable for water sports enthusiasts.
What is the duration?
You will paddle about 5 hours and spend a total of between 6 and 8 hours on the water taking into account swimming and picnic breaks.

An exceptional site!
For about twenty km the "Ardèche" river is collected at the bottom of a canyon between wooded slopes and high limestone cliffs of more than 250 meters at times.
HOW IT WORKS:
Where and when is the meeting?
At the CAP 07 base in Sampzon 1 chemin de la digue (free parking). Departure of the shuttle in the morning at 8:30 am. It is recommended to book in advance.
How do I come back?
Meet at Sauze, the beach of Saint Martin d'Ardèche, at 4:30 p.m. and return with our CAP 07 shuttle to Sampzon in the late afternoon..
What equipment is provided?
A life jacket adapted to your size, a double or single paddle. One container per canoe to carry your belongings.
What should I bring?
Shorts to protect your legs from the sun, swimsuit, solar t-shirt, cap, bath towel, drinks, picnic, water shoes. Remember to attach your
glasses.
We do not recommend the use of sunscreen under the vest. Remember to have a sun t-shirt, it's cheaper than a tube of sunscreen and it makes the fish happy.

A full briefing of the descent is given to everyone.
A route map is stuck on each container.
The provision of canoes is made under the advice of our team. This descent is physically demanding and not recommended for children under 12 years old.

The rental price is indicated for 1 person, it includes the supply of equipment (paddle, life jacket, waterproof container), and transport from the CAP07 base, in Sampzon, on departure and return from the landing stage at the CAP07 base in Sampzon.

It is mandatory to be at least 7 years old and to know how to swim to be able to board. According to the new decree of the National Nature Reserve published in April 2019, our animal friends are no longer accepted in canoes.
