Our eco-responsible commitments at Cap 07 Canoë

A nature to respect, an environment to preserve

"We don't inherit the land from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children"

Global warming challenges humanity today. Our environment is fragile, we are convinced that canoe rental can be offered while respecting natural balances, and that it is never too late to start.

Canoeing is an emblematic activity in Southern Ardèche and our activity is closely linked to the health of the river and the preservation of its biodiversity. CAP07Canoe works to reconcile economic and ecological issues:

  - Encourage good practices: outings to discover beavers in a zero waste boat, encouraging selective sorting (construction of a composter), saving water in our practice by using washing bins, favoring cleaning products that are eco-responsible, COVID has shaken us up and forced us to be more chemically aggressive to meet health standards.

  - Participate each year, with the partners and actors of the territory of the Gorges de l'Ardèche, in the cleaning of the river, the conductor being the SGGA: manager of the nature reserve of the Gorges de l'Ardèche. Several tons of plastics of all kinds like tires, are collected.

  - Favor short circuits: all our canoes are made in Ardèche 20kms from SAMPZON, our tastings are cooked at YVES BOUCHERIE in RUOMS, our partners are mostly from the "country".

  - Commit to more sustainability: our favorite course: the maxi pleasure descent of 13 km from SAMPZON to CHÂMES reduces bus journeys as much as possible with its à la carte departure from our CAP07canoe base in SAMPZON, we pool all our shuttles in buses for less carbon emissions.

  - Preserve the true, sincere human relationship by viscerally wanting to remain a company on a human scale: we favor a personalized welcome and the well-being of everyone.
